This artist group came into being with an exhibition in an empty shop and rear barn area in the centre of Hertford. This two month well attended exhibition opened at the same time as the Bridge Art Festival in May 2008, bringing the group together for the first time.
Eight of the sixteen artists represented here produced new work for the exhibition, and it provided the kern of ideas which brings this group to exhibit together. Also exhibiting independently, as a group they combine a more abstract approach to painting and printmaking with highly creative sculptural and digital work, and also include artists working in video, site specific and light&sound installations, as well as performance art. This mixture of bringing together old and new art forms to provide a new energy in their synthesis is one of the concepts behind the work of this mixed media group.A Portfolio CD of the work of this group is available on request.
