Lotte Farnham
Austrian-born Lotte Farnham studied Fine Art as a mature  student at the University of Hertfordshire. She graduated in 2002 and has since shown her work both in the UK and abroad. Her preferred media are printmaking and painting. Recently, she was commissioned by GlaxoSmithKline to do a commemorative collagraph.
She likes to explore a variety of themes, particularly human relationships, nature and politics.
The images in the gallery were recently shown at the Rhodes Museum in Bishop’s Stortford to coincide with the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade. In this work Lotte’s aim is the emotive presentation of the issues of modern slavery, concentrating on the hopelessness and inescapability of the lives of the enslaved.
